Normal expandable hoses are lightweight hoses commonly used for everyday watering and cleaning. When water starts flowing through the hose, it expands to as much as three times its original length and goes back to its original size once the water is turned off. These garden hoses have an inner tube made from natural latex or TPE, which allows them to stretch under water pressure and return to their original size afterward. Their woven polyester outer cover limits excessive expansion and adds protection against rubbing and surface wear. The elastic inner tube and woven outer cover also help keep the hoses lightweight and less likely to kink or tangle during use.

Features
  • When filled with water, normal expandable hoses can extend to around three times their original length. Once the water is turned off and the pressure is released, they quickly contract to a much smaller size, so they are easy to store without taking up much space.
  • Since they do not have a heavy rubber outer layer or metal casing, the hoses are much lighter and easier to carry or pull around during watering and cleaning.
  • When the hoses are under working pressure, they stay expanded and less likely to fold, twist, or tangle while being moved and restrict the water flow.
  • After the water is turned off, the elastic inner tube starts returning to its original size and pushes out most of the water still inside the hose. With less water left inside, the hose is easier to put away and there is less risk of freezing in cold weather.
